Solace Life Inc. ("Solace Life", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Solace Life mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — your email address and password, used to create and manage your account.
• Profile information — your name, date of birth, and profile photo that you optionally provide.
• Memory content — voice recordings, video messages, written notes, and photos that you create within the app. This content is stored securely and delivered only to recipients you designate.
• Family member information — names and email addresses of family members you invite to receive your memories.
• Emergency contact information — names and contact details of trusted individuals you designate for our check-in system.
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and crash reports (via Sentry) used to improve app stability.
• Payment information — subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To store and deliver your recorded memories to your designated recipients on the dates you choose
• To operate the check-in system and notify emergency contacts if you designate them
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (delivery confirmations, family invitations, emergency notifications)
• To improve the reliability and performance of the Service using anonymised crash reports

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies that ensure only authorised users can access your content. Voice recordings, videos, and photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted service providers who help us operate the Service:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI — AI memory assistant (processes only content you explicitly share with the assistant)
• Sentry — anonymised crash reporting
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may delete your account and all associated content from within the app Settings screen. If you have questions or requests, please contact us at the address below.

If you are a resident of Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR.

Retention

We retain your account information and memory content for as long as your account is active. Memories that have been delivered to recipients are retained in recipients' vaults until they choose to delete them. If you delete your account, your content is permanently removed within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by prominent notice within the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
